Ayurvedic Massage

Ayurvedic massage is a customized treatment incorporating essential oils, typically herbal-infused, with time-honored and non-traditional strokes and kneading that suit each individual's needs. One of the most prevalent Ayurvedic treatments is panchakarma, which consists of a series of massages. The following are some types of Ayurvedic massages: Abhyanga : The most common and widely used method of massage, where warm herbal oil is used to massage the entire body.

How is Ayurvedic massage done?

It uses firm, slow strokes to elongate contracted muscles, break up adhesions, and help release deep-seated impurities. The therapist uses little oil. If it follows Abhyanga massage, much of the surface oil is removed. This allows for a higher level of friction on the skin and deeper access to the tissues. During the massage, you'll lie on the massage bed and our experienced practitioner will pour warm herbal oil on your body and start massaging in a series of strokes & movements. These strokes of movements vary from superficial to deep strokes aimed at relaxing your nervous system while nourishing your body tissues and cells.
